The Village of Orland Park is divided into 8 patrol beats. As part of the Police Department’s Community Policing Program, officers are assigned to permanent beat and shift assignments for an entire calendar year.

Neighborhood Meetings have been developed to enhance police department problem solving efforts by directly working on problems in the community. Neighborhood Meetings allow members of the community to meet with officers and supervisors who patrol their area in order to identify and discuss new or ongoing problems and resolutions within the beat area.

Neighborhood Meetings are held on an annual basis between the months of March and May. A Neighborhood Meeting schedule will be posted on the police department website prior to the meetings and an automated telephone message will be sent to residents informing them of the date and time of an upcoming Neighborhood Meeting.
