Metra Lot Winter Reconfiguration from December 5 through March 31

 

Metra lots within the Village of Orland Park will move into a winter configuration from December 5 through March 31 to accommodate for reduced usage and reduce costs for snow operations.

Daily Parking Pay Stations

Commuters may pay daily parking fares in cash or by credit card ($0.15 convenience fee) by using any of the payment terminals located at each of the three Metra parking lots (143rd Street, 153rd Street, and 179th Street).  The fee for daily parking is $1.50 per parking space, per day.  Exact change must be used in the machines, as they do not give out change.  The terminals are integrated with “Passport Parking” to allow pay by phone payments.  This option has a convenience fee of $0.37 per transaction.

Monthly Commuter Parking Passes

Monthly parking passes can be purchased at a cost of $35.00 per month for the 153rd Street Metra station only.  Passes can be purchased in person at Village of Orland Park’s Village Hall, 14700 S. Ravinia or you may download the Monthly Commuter Parking pass form and mail it along with your check to:

Passport Parking System

Commuters parking at Village of Orland Park Metra Parking lots are now able to conduct their parking transactions by mobile phone, which allows commuters an opportunity to save time by using their mobile phone to pay for parking. Commuters may initiate parking sessions from the comfort of their vehicle, while walking to the train, or riding on the train. Payments must be made by 10:00 a.m.

Using the System

To use the new Passport Parking system, customers register for free from their mobile phone by downloading the mobile app, calling the toll free number on the signage or sticker, or at the Passport Parking system website.

Once registered, motorists can use a mobile app, the internet, or a mobile phone to call 708-716-0716, to pay for parking. The phone number is displayed on signage throughout the facility, and on the parking pay stations.

After setting up the account, customers can immediately start using the system with their registered mobile phone. Motorists can also select the option to alerts and reminders fifteen minutes before their time expires. Motorists can track parking expenses, and print reports through the Passport Parking’s secure website.

Fees

The fee for using the electronic system is $1.50, plus a $0.37 convenience fee.
