Refer to Section 6-305 of the Land Development Code for additional information on landscape plan, tree preservation, and tree mitigation requirements. Section 6-305 of the Land Development Code.
A tree removal permit must be submitted for review and approval by the Public Works Department prior to the removal of a tree. Whether a tree can be taken down without a permit is dependent on the size of the tree or where it is located. Tree mitigation may be required.
A near and long-term Monitoring and Management Plan (M&M Plan) is an integral component to ensuring proper management of naturalized landscapes. When required, an M&M Plan shall be submitted with a corresponding landscape plan for Village review and approval and shall coincide with the project WMO Permit. The M&M Plan template and appendices shall be used for all applicable projects. For additional details and requirements, see Section 6-305.F.2.b of the Land Development Code.
