Application Requirements

Needed to apply for permit:

  • Completed permit application
  • $275 Permit fee
  • Recent legible copy of legal plat of survey showing existing building and setbacks to lot lines
  • Gazebo drawing showing:
    • Gazebo size
    • Location and diameter of posts
    • Size and type of rafters, decking, etc.
    • Materials to be used
  • Electric permit if electric is to be installed, add an additional $90 permit fee
  • If foundation/piers is to be installed, add an additional $75 permit fee
  • Signed copy of Gazebo Rules and Regulations
  • Signed copy of Code Compliance
  • Zoning Permit Application

Regulations

A permit and a plan review is required for installation of all gazebos, pergolas, sun shades and similar structures.

Maximum lot coverage is limited for each zoning district as per Land Development Code Article 6, Part 2, District Regulations.

Required Inspections 2-3

Pre-pour inspection is required if foundation is installed. A rough inspection and a final inspection are required.

Please submit an inspection request. A 24-hour notice is required for all inspections. Inspection requests are not taken over the phone.
