Requirements

A permit is required for installation and certain repairs of elevators, escalators, wheelchair lifts, stair Lifts, dumbwaiters, etc.

The permit fee is $260 per unit. The permit fee includes plan review and one inspection. Additional inspections will be invoiced to the contractor and must be paid before the inspection occurs.

Submit the following electronically to developmentservices@orlandpark.org:

• Completed Elevator / Escalator Permit Application
• Construction plans
• Copy of the Elevator Contractor State License

Upon receipt of complete submittal, applicant will be advised of how to pay for permit. After payment is received, plans will be reviewed.

Upon completion and approval of the plan review, a permit will be issued.
