The Village of Orland Park is partnering with the Highway Department of Orland Township and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event. This event is a FREE one day event open to ALL Illinois residents (residents must present a valid state ID or recent utility bill to enter event).
Individuals wishing to drop off items will need to pre-register. You may register online at: calendly.com/othd/hhwc2022?month=2023-05
Hazardous Material Guidelines:
- No businesses, agriculture, industrial or government wastes accepted
- Do NOT bring empty paint or oil containers. Throw away in your regular trash bin.
- Please see below for a list of item restrictions:
Items Accepted: Aerosol Paints, Aerosol Pesticides, Antifreeze, Cleaning Products, Drain Cleaners, Fluorescent Bulbs, Gasoline, Herbicides, Hobby Chemicals, Household Batteries, Insecticides, Lawn Chemicals, Mercury, Oil-Based Paints, Paint Thinners, Pesticides, Pool Chemicals, Solvents and Used Motor Oil.
Items NOT Accepted: Latex Paints, Acid Batteries, Agricultural Waste, Ammunition, Biological Waste, Cell Phones, Commercial Waste, Controlled Substances, Explosives, Electronics, Farm Oil, Fire Extinguishers, Fireworks, Institutional Waste, Needles/Sharps, Propane Tanks, Smoke Detectors and Tires.
