It will be a world tour of music when the Village of Orland Park Arts Commission presents The Melamed Band on Sunday, November 15.

The second concert in the commission’s autumn series, this show features The Melamed Band founded by lead singer Tanya Melamed. The 2 p.m. concert will be held at the village’s Cultural Center, 14760 Park Lane.

“We are grateful to the village’s Arts Commission for adding so much to the cultural offerings in Orland Park,” said Mayor Dan McLaughlin. “They had a great turn out for the Tres Belle Concert in October and are looking forward to another well attended show with The Melamed Band. We invite everyone to come out for some wonderful music.”

A native of Odessa, Ukraine, Melamed holds a Master of Arts in classical piano and jazz and has performed throughout the world.

The Arts Commission show promises a musical kaleidoscope featuring different cultures and ethnicities mixed into one unforgettable performance.

“It’s exciting to have entertainment of this caliber in Orland Park,” said Trustee Pat Gira, Village Board liaison to the Arts Commission. “You don’t have to travel downtown to enjoy a phenomenal performance. We are offering it right here, in Orland Park.”

The afternoon’s repertoire will include music from around the world including American, Latin, French, Italian and Eastern European.

Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at Recreation Administration, 14600 South Ravinia Avenue, and at the village’s Sportsplex at 11351 West 159th Street.
