Love is in the air and the community is invited to take it all in as the Village of Orland Park Arts Commission hosts a love-themed concert featuring Southwest Community Concert Band on Sunday, February 11.

The free concert runs from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center's Exhibit Hall, 14760 Park Lane.

"Since the concert is so close to Valentine's Day, there will be a love theme," said Jean Petrow, program supervisor for the Recreation Department. "This will be a fun concert to bring a loved one with to enjoy some of the classic love songs that we all grew up hearing."

Admission is free, with donations being accepted to support the various programs and classes offered by the village's Arts Commission.

"Last year's SWCCB concert was so crowded that we decided to do tickets this year," Petrow said. "We have 150 tickets available at the Sportsplex, the Recreation Administration Office or the Cultural Center."

The Southwest Community Concert Band is a 60-member band and nonprofit organization comprised of area musicians and educators. Formed in 1982, its mission is to: "foster the musical talent and education of its members, provide quality musical entertainment to the community and promote the value of musical education to the students and adults of the community."

To pick up tickets, visit the Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St., the Cultural Center, 14760 S. Park Lane, or the Recreation Administration Office, 14600 S. Ravinia Avenue.
