Upcoming Open Houses to Discuss 159th Street Corridor Plan
Posted on 04/09/2009

Two Open Houses will be held to provide the general public with an opportunity to provide input into the 159th Street Corridor Planning process. This Plan, initiated by the Village of Orland Park and funded by IDOT, will establish coordinated strategies to improve 159th Street between I-355 and I-294. Six municipalities, including Homer Glen, Orland Park, Orland Hills, Tinley Park, Oak Forest, and Markham are involved in the planning process. The Open Houses will be an opportunity for the public to review existing conditions information compiled to date and share issues and ideas with the consulting team and Steering Committee.

The first Open House will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on April 23, 2009 at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 South Ravinia Avenue, Orland Park, IL 60462. The second Open House will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on May 5, 2009 in the Oak Forest City Hall at 15440 South Central Avenue, Oak Forest, IL 60452. Both Open Houses will present the same information; it is only necessary to attend one. A brief overview presentation will be made at 6:30 pm and again at 7:30 pm at each of the Open Houses.
