Orland Park senior residents are invited to attend Mayor Dan McLaughlin's Spring Senior Coffee on Thursday, March 16 from 9- 11 a.m. at the Orland Park Civic Center, 14750 Ravinia Avenue.

This year's senior coffee will feature presentations on gardening and on the village's newest fitness facility - the Orland Park Health & Fitness Center.

"I always look forward to meeting with seniors at this spring coffee. After a long winter, it's great to connect face-to-face with residents," said Mayor Dan McLaughlin. "We will be covering some informative topics that I hope will make for a wonderful afternoon for our seniors."

University of Illinois Horticulturist and Master Gardener Margaret Burns-Westmeyer will present on waking up your garden, and will answer any gardening questions or concerns.

Residents will also hear from David Brainerd, center director of Orland Park Health & Fitness Center. Brainerd will highlight the amenities now offered at Orland Park's newest fitness facility and raffle off several free passes.

"I hope all seniors come out and join us for an afternoon of coffee and good conversation," said McLaughlin.

Seating is limited and reservations will be taken on a first come basis. Residents may reserve their seat by calling (708) 403-6133 beginning February 20 through March 14.
