Purchase online or by mail beginning May 20 to avoid village hall parking lot construction.

ORLAND PARK, IL (May 9, 2019) --- The Village of Orland Park is saluting the 100th Anniversary of the American Legion with its 2019-2021 village vehicle stickers.

The American Legion was founded on March 15, 1919 in Paris, France by members of the American Expeditionary Forces. The legion was chartered by the U.S. Congress the following September.

"We're excited to salute the American Legion with Orland Park's new village sticker," said Mayor Keith Pekau. "It's interesting to note that the national organization began in 1919. Chicago Post #111 was created at that time and Orland Park's post shortly thereafter. Eventually these two posts would merge to create our current Orland Park Post #111."

Orland Park village stickers will be available for purchase beginning Monday, May 20, 2019. Pre-printed applications will be mailed to those who have previously bought village stickers. If residents do not receive forms in the mail, they may access the online sticker application at

Stickers must be affixed to the lower right corner of the windshield, on the passenger side, by June 30, 2019. All vehicles registered to Village of Orland Park addresses must display current vehicle stickers.  

"We have a lot of construction happening at the village hall right now," said Trustee Dan Calandriello, chair of the village's Finance Committee. "We strongly urge everyone to buy their tickets online or by mail. That would be a lot easier."

Online purchase will open May 20, 2019 at Allow five to seven business days for delivery of vehicle stickers purchased online or by mail.

The cost for passenger cars and motorcycles is $30 before the June 30, 2019 deadline. Late fees will be assessed for those purchased after June 30, 2019. Other rates vary according to vehicle classes.

Seniors who will be age 65 by June 30, 2021 are eligible to purchase stickers at a reduced rate. Two senior stickers per household may be purchased if there are two household drivers age 65 or older. Vehicle stickers for first-time seniors may be purchased in person at the village hall. Proof of age is required.

The village's cashier's office is located on the main level of the Frederick T. Owens Village Hall, 14700 South Ravinia Avenue. The building is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with the cashier's office extended hours until 7 p.m. June 3 and June 17.
