The Wednesday, August 5th Chicago White Sox game against the Los Angeles Angels has been designated the "Village of Orland Park Grand Slam Group Event" at U.S. Cellular Field.

Specially priced White Sox tickets are available for Orland Park residents, their families and friends. Tickets normally priced at $42 and $23 are available for $21 and $11.50. Attendees need not be residents of Orland Park to take advantage of the half priced tickets.

"The White Sox have invited Orland Park to participate in a grand slam group event and we encourage the entire community to be a part of this evening of baseball," said Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin.

"August 5th is also Police and Fire Night at U.S. Cellular and we're happy to be a part of the evening's festivities that include the Village of Orland Park and police and fire personnel from throughout the Chicago area," the mayor added.

Ticket order forms for the 7:11 p.m. game are available at all village buildings and on the village's website at www.orland-park.il.us. Tickets may also be ordered on line at www.whitesox.com/orlandpark or by calling Ticketmaster at 866-769-4263 and using the code "OPN." Service fees will apply for ordering on line and through Ticketmaster.

"The White Sox have put together a nice package for Orland Park," McLaughlin said. "Along with specially priced tickets, families can order parking passes and hot dog value meals, making it a reasonably priced outing," he added.

All orders must be received by Friday, July 10. Tickets will be mailed to the provided address and all game times and promotions are subject to change.

"Our friends at the White Sox have told us that a number of Cub fans attend these events," the mayor noted. "This is a great outing for everyone, whether they're from Orland Park or not," McLaughlin said.
