The Village of Orland Park is asking residents and businesses to participate in a survey to evaluate flood damage caused by the recent heavy rain storms.

The survey, which addresses flooding inside of homes and businesses, will help determine whether state and federal funding will be made available to the Orland Park area.

Cook County government recently asked that the village report this type of damage to them by Friday. Residents and businesses that experienced flooding are asked to access the village’s website at www.orland-park.il.us to complete the survey by noon on Friday, April 26.

Survey results will be provided to Cook County, which is collecting all necessary information and providing it to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.

All homeowners and businesses that experienced flood damage are encouraged to complete the survey on the village’s website --- including those who have already reported the flooding.

If access to a computer is not available, please call the village’s Public Works Department at 708/403-6350. All surveys must be completed by noon on Friday, April 26, 2013.
