Orland Park Police officers and personnel will assist the wait staff by serving patrons soft drinks, water and coffee from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Cops and Lobsters event is held each year to raise funds that go directly to the Illinois Special Olympics program. This program enables thousands of special Olympians to participate in events around the state and to win medals and awards for their achievements.

A special booth will be set up in Red Lobster where commemorative items such as Torch Run t-shirts, baseball caps and pins will be available for purchase to help raise funds. Officers will also be selling $10.00 raffle tickets to win a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Proceeds benefit the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

The Police Department encourages the public to come out to enjoy a great meal, meet the Police Department personnel and help support Special Olympics.
