Where learning is Fun!
The Village of Orland Park's Preschool Program is designed to help pre-schoolers develop the skills necessary for independent learning and socialization in a warm, fun-filled environment.

Our program is offered at the Franklin E. Loebe Recreation Center, 14650 South Ravinia Avenue. The village's Preschool Program is one of the longest running kindergarten preparatory programs in the area.  Creating a well-rounded academic foundation, the curriculum includes academic instruction, arts and crafts, games, field trips and socialization. All activities are designed to enhance children creatively, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.

Preschool is a continuous program beginning in September and ending in May.  Small class sizes and bright, inviting classrooms enhance the child's experience.

Junior Preschool

The junior program is offered for children 3 years old, many of whom are experiencing their first time away from their parents, siblings, and home. Designed specifically for the developmental level of the 3-year-old, Junior Preschool focuses on the following skills: socialization, balance, body awareness, eye-hand / eye-foot coordination, rhythm, space, and direction.

Senior Preschool

The primary objective of the senior program is to prepare children 4 and 5 years old for kindergarten. This program offers a more defined level of skills described above, in addition to fine motor and symmetrical activities. Senior classes are geared for children entering kindergarten in the fall.

Young Achievers

This enrichment program is designed as a continuation of time directly before or after the senior preschool class. This is for the child that is both academically and socially ready for kindergarten, but not old enough. Each child is required to bring a brown bag lunch - lunch will not be provided. Activities will include: nature, science, arts & crafts, math and games. Your child will be walked from classroom to classroom. Your child must be enrolled in a senior preschool program in order to register for this class. Prerequisite: child should be able to print name and use scissors correctly.
