Village of Orland Park Trustee Michael Carroll was recently inducted into The John Marshall Law School Hall of Distinction.

Carroll was one of 22 alumni chosen by the Chicago law school recognizing graduates who have gone on to become judges or elected officials.

“I am honored to receive this distinction from my alma mater and I’m humbled by the recognition,” Carroll said.

Carroll’s photo will be added to the school’s Hall of Distinction, displaying more than 300 John Marshall alumni pictures. The hall begins on the first floor corridor connecting the Plymouth Ct. and State St. buildings and continues to the fourth floor, surrounding the Goldberg Courtroom.

Carroll graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 1995. He received his undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University and is a 1981 graduate of Carl Sandburg High School. He was elected to the Orland Park Board of Trustees in 2015 and chairs the village's Public Works Committee.
