  2. Arts Commission presents: Joni Bishop Art Exhibit and Concert

    September 23, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM @ Cultural Center

    All ages. Joni Bishop is an accomplished singer-songwriter, guitarist, visual artist and instrument maker. She combines these gifts to create a live performance event that is rootsy,down-home, and uniquely her own! She has been in Nashville for over 20 years and is no stranger to the songwriting scene, music publishing deals, and record contracts ... but what she loves the most is being an independent creative artist, combining her musical talents with her love of folk art. Joni’s concerts are always complimented by a display of her unique paintings, photography and hand-made instruments. If you can’t go to Nashville, we are bringing Nashville right to you! She uses many of her own hand-made cigar box guitars on stage as well, creating a unique, multidimensional entertainment offering for audiences of all ages. Art show displaying her paintings, photography and hand-made instruments will begin at 2:00 PM, performance will begin at 4:00 PM. This is an event you don’t want to miss!

    Gather the family and head out to Centennial Park for a fun-filled afternoon of fall activities! Enjoy a hayride or pony ride in the park, roast marshmallows around the fi re, dress up Fido for the annual costume pet parade, make a craft, bobb for donuts, participate in sponsor activities, games, and much more! Barrel car train rides will be offered for $1.00 per ride per child.* A nominal fee will be charged to participate at the Pumpkin Patch!
